Oscars 2014: Jennifer Lawrence falls over… again

The American Hustle actress took yet another tumble on the red carpet at the 86th Academy Awards after falling on her way to pick up her first Oscar

A year on from her high profile tumble on the way to pick up her first Oscar, Jennifer Lawrence has taken yet another fall.

The accident-prone actress – nominated at the 86th Academy Awards for her turn as housewife Rosalyn Rosenfeld in American Hustle – tripped over her Dior Haute Couture dress on the way out of her car as she took to the red carpet earlier this evening.

The 23-year-old actress – also known for playing Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games – dismissed the incident, laughing hysterically and thanking her boyfriend Nicholas Hoult who came rushing to her aid.

Based on her previous form, the trip may do her chances of winning no harm, given that last time she fell over she was collecting the coveted golden statuette for her role in Silver Linings Playbook.

Drawing attention to tonight’s accident, Oscars host Ellen DeGeneres kicked off the show by advising Jennifer, “If you win tonight I think we should bring you the Oscar”.
