Veronica Mars returns to Neptune in first official film trailer

Kristen Bell is joined by Krysten Ritter, Max Greenfield, Jason Dohring and Enrico Colantoni as Veronica Mars heads back to her hometown

It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for, Marshmallows. The the first official trailer for Veronica Mars’ big screen debut has been released.

Combining previously released footage and exciting new content, the trailer teases glimpses of returning cast members – including Enrico Colantoni, Tina Majorino, Max Greenfield and Krysten Ritter – as well as gun shots, dead bodies and a pretty impressive punch in the face.

Set 10 years after we last saw V Mars, our favourite teenage detective is a “big shot lawyer” now. Her investigating days are well and truly behind her. Well, that is until Logan is implicated in a murder inquiry and asks for her help…

Putting her job, and her life with live-in boyfriend Piz, under threat, Veronica drops everything to come to her ex-boyfriend’s aid. Back in Neptune V whips out her long lense camera and slips back into her wiley ways.

But that doesn’t mean she can’t find time to swing by a school reunion and bump into a few familiar faces.

Veronica Mars the Movie picks up ten years after the end of the popular TV series, which ran for three series before being cancelled by American network The CW in 2007. Directed by Rob Thomas, the film was funded by the show’s fans via Kickstarter.

Veronica Mars the Movie will hit cinemas in March 2014.
