Incoming Queen Vic landlord Danny Dyer and co-star Kellie Bright have been discussing the New Year’s Eve instalment of EastEnders.
“We’ve been told it’s one of the best-ever New Year’s Eve episodes,” said Dyer, whose character Mick Carter takes over at the Walford boozer this festive season with his family in tow. “It’s very early days for us and we’re making our mark. We’re straight in at the deep end with all the characters. Mick and Linda are entertaining them and it’s a really strong episode – you’re going to love it.”
Kellie Bright, who plays Mick’s wife Linda, was quick to agree. “It was great fun to film, actually. You’ve got a lot of people in the pub and it is definitely like being thrown in at the deep end. But it’s good, it’s really good.”
The plotline will see the Carters decide to throw a party in the Vic as Mick bonds with the men of Walford. But as the celebrations are in full flow, Mick and Linda sneak off for some time alone, not realising that he is still miked up to the karaoke…
