Angelina Jolie and her Hollywood cast and crew are currently shooting two scenes of her film Unbroken in Camden, at the Onslow Oval, New South Wales.
The movie follows a runner who survives a plane crash. After landing in the Pacific Ocean in World War Two, he is captured by the Japanese.
The scenes currently taking place will show the main character, Louis Zamperini, in his early life.
The Unbroken cast and crew have also been seen at Menagle and are rumoured to be shooting at the Blacktown International Sportspark next – the place will be transformed into an Olympic Stadium in 1930s Berlin.
This is Jolie’s second directorial effort. The A-lister has cast Jack O’Connell (This is England, Skins) as athlete Louis Zamperini, Garrett Hedlund (Tron, Troy) as Commander John Fitzgerald, Domnhall Gleeson (True Grit, About Time) as pilot and 1st Lieut Russell Allen Phillips, while Luke Treadaway (Clash of the Titans) will also appear in the movie.
Mad Max 4 is also currently being shot in Australia.
Unbroken is set for release in winter 2014.
