X Factor 2013: Big Band Week – sixty second catch up

Sam Bailey sings Frank Sinatra, baby Buble takes to the stage and the judges all seem impressed

Tonight was Big Band Week and as Nicole Scherzinger enthused, it was ‘sch-winging’.

X Factor was nearly complete as it looked like host Dermot O’Leary was going to dance – I keep asking – but he stuck to a fancy entrance with some lovely ladies and the band instead.

The acts seemed to be in their element as they performed with a thirty-piece band, none more so than baby Buble himself Nicholas McDonald who sang Dream A Little Dream. Even his hair was smooth.

Sharon Osbourne’s Sam Bailey proved she can handle anything by performing Frank Sinatra’s New York New York. Yeah, Bailey means business.

There was confidence among the acts – Luke Friend even tied his hair back – and Hannah Barrett got told she owned the stage while being “as cool as a cucumber”.

Rough Copy got told they are a sure thing for the final – which is lucky otherwise poor Gary Barlow would have no acts left – and Gary went on record to show his support for Tamera Foster after she ended up in the bottom two last week.

There was no Flash Vote again tonight so we’ll find out tomorrow night who is in the bottom two.

X Factor continues tomorrow night at 8:00pm on ITV
