The time has finally come, Sherlock fans…
The great detective is back for series three. And keen beans will be able to get their Sherlock fix before the hit BBC1 series even hits our TV screens.
The Empty Hearse, the first episode of the much-anticipated third series, is set to be screened at London’s BFI on 15 December at 1:00pm.
And as if seeing the episode before everyone else wasn’t exciting enough, attendees will also be treated to a Q and A with members of the cast, who could include Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Amanda Abbington, Louise Brealey, Mark Gatiss, Rupert Graves and Una Stubbs.
It’s just too exciting. We don’t quite know what to do with ourselves.
The BFI have given us a sneak peek at what to expect from the new episode too, with the following synopsis:
“Just one more miracle, Sherlock. Stop being dead’. For Dr John Watson it might well be a case of ‘be careful what you wish for’. Two years after the devastating events of ‘The Reichenbach Fall’, John appears to have got on with his life. New horizons and romance beckon. But, with London under threat of a devastating terrorist attack, Sherlock is about to take John at his word, staging his resurrection with all the theatricality that comes so naturally to him. If Sherlock thinks everything will be just as he left it, though, he’s in for a very big surprise…”
The Sherlock series three UK air date has yet to be announced.
Tickets for the BFI screening are £11. Booking opens to the public next Tuesday (12 November) from 11:30am.
