Victor Rasuk cast in Fifty Shades film as Christian Grey’s rival Jose

The 29-year-old How to Make It in America star will join Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson and Luke Grimes in the EL James adaptation

The cast of Universal’s Fifty Shades of Grey adaptation is almost complete.

Victor Rasuk is set to join #teamfifty as Anastasia’s college friend (and Christian Grey’s romantic competition) Jose Rodrigeuz.

In the internationally bestselling book, Jose is Anastasia Steele’s long-suffering friend. While she sees him as the brother she never had, he secretly harbours feelings for her and kisses her when they are drunk after celebrating their graduation. He later apologises to Ana and the pair remain friends.

With Rasuk joining Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson, Luke Grimes and Jennifer Ehle on the cast list, Anastasia’s roomate Kate Kavanagh is the only major Fifty Shades character still to be revealed. Names being bandied around include Blake Lively, Katie Cassidy, Ashley Benson, Dianna Agron and Amber Heard, so watch this space…

Twenty-nine-year-old Rasuk has previously starred in How to Make It in America,  ER and Lords of Dogtown. He’s also set to appear in upcoming films Jobs and Godzilla.

Based on the internationally bestselling novels by EL James, the Sam Taylor-Johnson movie will follow the x-rated bedroom exploits of Christian Grey and innocent college graduate Anastatia Steele.

It was recently revealed that the recasting of Christian Grey had delayed production, but the film is reportedly still set for an August 2014 release date.
