Strictly Come Dancing On Ice is happening… sort of

Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, from the ITV talent show, are swapping the rink for the ballroom as they partner up with SCD’s Aliona Vilani and James Jordan for this year’s Children In Need

What’s better than one reality TV show? Two merged into one in the name of charity of course! Enter Strictly Come Dancing On Ice (or that’s what we’d call it anyway, despite the lack of an actual ice rink).

Yes, Strictly Come Dancing professional dancers Aliona Vilani and James Jordan will be partnering up with ice skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, stars of ITV’s Dancing On Ice, for a ballroom dance competition as part of this year’s Children In Need.

Aliona and Chris will take on James and Jayne as they battle it out (in good charity spirit of course) to take home the glitter ball Pudsey trophy.

Strictly’s Aliona has been tweeting her excitement for the show (which takes place Friday 15 November) saying it’s “cool and really nice to dance with Chris Dean” and starting her own hash tag #BoogieVilaniStyle.

Both Aliona and James are already out of 2013’s Strictly Come Dancing competition after their partners Tony Jacklin and Vanessa Feltz failed to raise enough public votes in the competition.
