Sage and onion toad-in-the-hole

- extra-lean pork sausages 8
- red onion 1, cut into wedges
- olive oil 1 tsp
- plain flour 150g
- egg 1
- skimmed milk 300ml
- sage 2 tbsp, chopped
1.Heat oven to 220C/fan 200C/gas 7. Put the sausages and onion wedges into an ovenproof baking dish, drizzle over oil then cook for 25 minutes until everything is turning brown.
2.Meanwhile put the flour in a bowl, whisk in the egg and milk to make a smooth batter then stir in the chopped sage. Pour into the hot dish then cook for another 30 minutes until crisp and golden.
