Jonathan Rhys Meyers puts in the fangs of the quintessential vampire in Sky Living’s new drama Dracula, a co-production with US network NBC. In this take on the classic tale, Dracula poses as an American industrialist promising to bring modern science to Victorian London, whilst harbouring an altogether more sinister scheme – wreaking revenge on those who ruined his life centuries before.

Jessica De Gouw plays Mina Murray, the love interest who threatens to distract Dracula from his vengeful ends, whilst Merlin’s Katie McGrath stars as the vivacious Lucy Westenra.

The cast also includes Mr Selfridge’s Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Jonathan Harker, Nonso Anozie as RM Renfield, Thomas Kretschmann as Abraham Van Helsing and Victoria Smurfit as Lady Jane Wetherby.

In the exclusive video below, costume designer Annie Symons, hair and make-up designer Jon Henry Gordon and cast members discuss the suits, gowns and clip-in fangs that go towards creating, in Gordon’s words, “a look that’s nothing to do with now and nothing to do with the past; it’s unique unto itself.”
