Ever wanted to own your own Tardis? Silly question, of course you have. Well, now’s your chance with a new exhibition at Bradford’s National Media Museum to celebrate Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary.
The museum is launching Doctor Who Family Fun – billed as a Whovian “extravaganza” offering visitors an opportunity to make their own light-up Tardis, a moving Dalek and their very own Doctor Who monster to take home.
A grand day out for families of Whovians, the museum will also be putting on a Doctor Who quiz, as well as a screening of 2013’s Nightmare in Silver (where Matt Smith faces the Cybermen) and a special behind-the-scenes film revealing how a Doctor Who episode is made.
“We hope families will join us this half term to help keep the Museum from the clutches of the dreaded Daleks,” said learning programme coordinator, Elaine Richmond. “We’re very excited about this event and promise a lot of Doctor Who-themed fun and activities in anticipation of the 50th anniversary episode next month.”
If you fancy a family adventure in space and time, the exhibition takes place at the National Media Museum from October 26 to November 3.
