So there we have it, the final line-up for the make-or-break third series of The Voice UK.
Kaiser Chiefs singer Ricky Wilson is the new Danny O’Donoghue, joining Jessie J replacement Kylie Minogue, original coaches Tom Jones and will.i.am and new presenting duo Big Brother host Emma Willis and JLS star Marvin Humes.
Wilson was unveiled as the BBC talent show’s final signing this morning via Twitter, with The Voice UK’s official account tweeting “We have a new Chief, sorry Coach. It’s… Ricky Wilson from the Kaiser Chiefs! @Rickontour, we salute you.”
Lead singer of the British indie band known for stadium-pleasing hits including I Predict a Riot and Ruby, Wilson comes in for departing The Script frontman O’Donoghue, who quit along with Jessie J after series two.
This year’s show is said to be a “last throw off the dice” by a BBC insider after both previous runs saw audiences dip after the initial rounds of the contest.
