The long awaited X Box One console will launch in the UK on 22 November, Microsoft has this afternoon announced.
The device, which promises to revolutionise the way you watch TV, as well as take gaming to a new level with a superfast 1.75GHZ CPU and all-new Kinect sensor, will launch in 13 countries on the same day.
The X Box One is the latest entertainment console from Microsoft. It’s the brand’s biggest launch since the release of the product’s predecessor, the Xbox 360, which hit shelves in 2005.
Xbox’s marketing vice-president Yusuf Mehdi said of the launch: “The culmination of many years of listening to you, our fans, developing innovative technology, and partnering with the best game and entertainment partners in the industry has brought us to this point. There is still a lot more work to do, but the teams are making excellent progress and are focused on launch.”
X Box One’s launch date means it will beat Sony’s PlayStation 4 to the shelves in most places across the globe, but only by around one week.
