Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnam cast in Fifty Shades of Grey film
The Social Network's Dakota Johnson and Pacific Rim's Charlie Hunnam are set to take on the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the saucy cinema adaptation of EL James' novel

FINALLY. After months and month’s of speculation, rumours and RadioTimes.com polls, we have our Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.
And who is going to step into shoes of the kinky businessman and his innocent bedroom partner? Well, Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnam, that’s who.
For those of who you are unfamiliar with the actors (and let’s face it, quite a lot of us are…) 33-year-old Charlie Hunnam has previously starred in Sons of Anarchy, Pacific Rim and Cold Mountain while Dakota Johnson has appeared in 21 Jump Street, The Five Year Engagement and The Social Network.
Fifty Shades author EL James took to Twitter herself to share the news, saying:
I am delighted to let you know that the lovely Dakota Johnson has agreed to be our Anastasia in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.

It seems there has already been some backlash from dedicated fans, who imagine their S&M loving duo to look a little different. Not that EL James seems to care. Whether you love or hate the casting choice, it’s all good as long as you’re passionate. Not a surprising sentiment from the author of these naughty novels…
To all the supporters, lovers and haters – thank you so much for the passion that you have for this project. You all rock. All of you. ♡

The Fifty Shades of Grey film, which is set to hit cinemas on 1 August 2014, is being directed by Sam-Taylor Johnson and adapted by Kelly Marcel. Based on the internationally best-selling novels by EL James, the film will follow the increasingly x-rated bedroom exploits of millionaire Christian Grey and college graduate Anastasia Steele.
So what do you think of the casting choice? Do Hunnam and Johnson fit the bill? Are you a Fifty Shades lover or a Fifty Shades hater?
