Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson in new image from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The pair reprise their roles as Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark as they embark upon their victory tour around Panem

After a lengthy wait for the The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, we are edging ever closer to its November release date. This Saturday will see a brand new trailer released at Comic-Con in San Diego, but in the meantime, why not whet your appetite with the latest still from the upcoming sequel?

The new image sees Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson reprising their roles as Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark who spend the franchise’s second instalment embarking upon a victory tour after triumphing in annual contest, The Hunger Games.

But as the pair visit the districts of Panem, they sense the onset of a rebellion. President Snow knows he must act to protect the wealth and power of the Capitol, but nothing will prepare Katniss and Peeta for the deadly twist he has in store as the nation prepares for the 75th Annual Hunger Games, also known as The Quarter Quell.

The newly-released still shows Peeta and Katniss standing either side of Effie Trinket (played by Elizabeth Banks) in what appears to be District 12 during the Reaping (selection process) for the Quarter Quell which sees the pair selected to step into the arena once again.

Ahead of the new footage expected on Saturday, here’s your chance to refresh your memory with the current teaser trailer…
