Actress Camilla Arfwedson has joined the cast of Holby City as Zosia March, a new plain-speaking F1 who is set to make waves on the wards with her forthright manner.
Arfwedson – whose previous screen credits include Agatha Christie’s Marple, Law & Order: UK and Lewis – has already begun filming with the team at Elstree and said of her new role: “It’s amazing to be part of such a great team and I’m looking forward to what the future has in store for Zosia.”
Oliver Kent, executive producer added: “There are already some very strong opinionated characters in Holby City but none quite like Zosia. Zosia isn’t afraid to tell it how it is so viewers can expect sparks to fly!”
News of Arfwedson’s casting comes following the announcement last week that Coronation Street actor John Michie will be joining Holby City after he departs the ITV soap later this year. His character, consultant neurosurgeon Guy Self will “combine passion and unpredictability with a hint of danger”, according to show bosses.
