Get Back on the Horse and Ride! TV’s most annoying (and endearing) boss – Nev Wilshire of The Call Centre will be returning, RadioTimes.com can exclusively reveal.
Senior BBC sources have confirmed that the smash hit BBC3 fly-on-the-wall show will definitely be back for a second series.
Series one will also enjoy a BBC1 repeat, probably next year, according to sources, with the second series once again airing on BBC3.
The film-makers will revisit the Save Britain Money call centre run by Nev Wilshire and his team, most of who are required to make 200 call centres per day.
In addition they must combat Nev’s wacky, modern managerial skills such as enforced karaoke to anthems like Mr Brightside by The Killers as well as catchphrases such as “Smile while you dial!” and “Get on your horse and ride”.
Many viewers were left stunned that such a person, compared across the country to David Brent from The Office, existed in real life.
However all was not entirely happy for Nev last month when his company was fined over nuisance calls.
The Information Commissioner’s Office said there had been 2,700 complaints about two of the companies featured in the show, Nationwide Energy Services and We Claim You Gain, part of Save Britain Money Ltd in Swansea.
The second series of The Call Centre is likely to air next summer.
