Don’t know about you, but we spent last Sunday night fawning over the new BBC1 adaptation of Philippa Gregory’s The White Queen. The ten-part drama, following the endless political turmoil of Plantagenet England and the corset-busting antics of the nation’s aristocracy, kicked off in style, setting up a racy run of scandal, battles, love, sorrow and witchcraft – everything you want from a dose of light entertainment on a Sunday evening.
Set in Britain but filmed in France, the drama used a number of spectacular world heritage sites as a backdrop for the production’s strong ensemble cast which includes Rebecca Ferguson, Max Irons, James Frain, Janet McTeer and Aneurin Barnard. Take a look at them in action in these behind-the-scenes pictures of the cast and crew…
