Russell Crowe: Michael Jackson used to prank call me

Do you Remember the time when Russell Crowe and Michael Jackson were best friends? Nope, neither do we, but apparently the Australian actor and the late pop singer were buddies before Jackson passed away in 2009.

Crowe, who is in the middle of an epic publicity tour for Superman blockbuster Man of Steel, has revealed an interesting insight into the pair’s unlikely relationship, claiming that the Thriller singer had his phone number and used to pester him with prank calls.

“Michael Jackson used to tease me on the phone,” he told The Sun. “He’d ring me and in a strong voice say, ‘There is an emergency and you need to leave the building.’

“I’d ask, ‘Who is this?’ And he’d say, ‘Do not worry Russell, just kidding, this is Michael.'”
