The release of Martin Freeman and Simon Pegg’s sci-fi action movie The World’s End is inching ever closer and today the cast are preparing to get annihilated in a series of new posters.
The final instalment in Edgar Wright’s “Cornetto trilogy” – which also includes Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, both written by Pegg and Nick Frost – follows the story of five old schoolfriends who reunite in an attempt to recreate an epic pub crawl they failed to complete in their youth. Also starring Frost, Paddy Considine, Eddie Marsan and Rosamund Pike, the gang’s attempts to reach fabled pub The World’s End are interrupted by an alien invasion, leaving them unwittingly engaged in a battle which is “not just theirs, but humankind’s”…
The new artwork features the quintet, along with Rosamund Pike who plays Freeman’s sister, each posing alongside a corresponding pub with the double entendre “Prepare to get annihilated”.
