Hannibal to serve up second series

The cannibalistic serial killer drama starring Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen has been given another run by American network NBC

Here’s some good news for viewers who have developed a taste for gruesome and gory drama Hannibal – the cannibalistic serial killer is set to serve up a second series.


Hannibal, which airs in the UK on Sky Living, has been renewed by American network NBC – and the seriously creepy drama, which stars Hugh Dancy as criminal profiler Will Graham and Mads Mikkelsen as Dr Hannibal Lecter, will return for another 13 episodes.

It’s not all good news for the Bryan Fuller series though, Hannibal has already made headlines for its shocking and gruesome content after the fourth episode was pulled from the run and a channel in the US dropped the series.

Hannibal is based on characters from Thomas Harris’ novel Red Dragon. The series follows Dr Lecter has he helps the FBI with gruesome cases. Laurence Fishburne, Eddie Izzard and Gillian Anderson also star.

Sky is yet to confirm that it will show series two of Hannibal.


Hannibal is currently on Sky Living on Tuesdays at 10pm
