Him & Her to end with six-part wedding special

Pramface also recommissioned as BBC3 announces a raft of new comedies

Him & Her, the low-key sitcom starring Russell Tovey and Sarah Solemani, is to return – and end – with a specially themed fourth series on BBC3.

The final six-part run, again written by Stefan Golaszewski, will be set entirely at the wedding of Laura, played by Kerry Howard.

Howard will additionally star in her own sketch show, Kerry, which is one of eight new Comedy Feeds – pilots commissioned by BBC3 that will air on iPlayer.

BBC3 has also ordered a new, third series of Chris Reddy’s Pramface, the sitcom about two young parents played by Scarlett Alice Johnson and Sean Michael Verey.

New series include People Just Do Nothing, a mockumentary about a shambolic pirate radio station that was among last year’s iPlayer pilots; and Uncle, a four-part sitcom starring comedian and singer/songwriter Nick Helm as a dissolute musician forced to look after his 11-year-old nephew.

BBC controller of comedy commissioning Shane Allen said: “This wide range of shows and new talents cement BBC3’s place as the key channel for emerging comedy stars. Nick Helm is the most exciting writer/performer I’ve seen in years and the Comedy Feeds show serious commitment to finding the next best voices and faces of British comedy.”
