We’re only just into the latest series and the Made in Chelsea gang are already up to the usual antics – break-ups, cat fights and those long, awkward pauses. London provides the best hotbed for all the action, the capital’s iconic backdrops and skylines just as impressive as the bars, clubs and cafés these poshed-up reality stars inhabit on the regular. So here are just a few of their most popular haunts – in Chelsea and beyond – so you can have your very own taste of the MIC lifestyle.
A permanent fixture on the show, Chelsea’s famous Bluebird café is SW3 through and through. This café, bar and restaurant is ever the scene of a girly catch-up, drinks on the sunshiny terrace and even brunch for the MIC crew. In fact, series five kicked off with an awkward morning clash with Cheska and Ollie squaring up to Binky and Lucy, the two groups scowling across the room over their croissants.
Jamie Laing and Binky Felstead had their first pash in Pacha London, where MIC lothario Spencer Matthews threw a birthday bash in series three. And it’s hardly a surprise their short-lived romance blossomed here, with this superclub making for one of the most stylish settings in the capital.
Love & Liquor
What’s that? NW6? The MIC gang may have drifted up from south west London, but the usual drama was afoot at Andy’s Prohibition party, appropriately set in Love & Liquor. The Kilburn DJ bar has a secretive rear room dubbed the Volstead Library, whose speakeasy style made the perfect setting for some 1920s-themed debauchery.
Park Lane’s Trader Vic’s provided some amusement for Binky and Lucy during a recent trip to the bar. Whether or not you think the cups are “phallic” (thanks, Binky!), the Trader Vic’s brand lays claim to the creation of the Mai Tai cocktail. Only the best for these Chelsea girls, darling.
If the gang ever find themselves in Soho you can guarantee it’s Archer Street they’ll be frequenting. In fact, you can chart Spencer and Louise’s turbulent relationship based on the scenes set in this swanky nightspot. In series three, best buds Spenny and Jamie fought it out over who should get the girl. By the series four Christmas special, Spencer and Louise were found snuggling down in the Archer Street winter ‘Piste’ pop up. But in the latest episode, the bromance was back on as Spencer revealed to Jamie he’d given Louise the heave-ho. Phew – we need a drink after all that drama!
