Horror film The ABCs of Death featuring 26 directors screens across London tonight

Sightseers’ Ben Wheatley is among the contributors to a movie with scenes each based on a different letter of the alphabet

Tonight, 26 April: 26 directors and 26 ways to die. A handful of cinemas are screening The ABCs of Death, an unorthodox horror anthology comprising 26 individual chapters, each assigned one of the letters of the alphabet and from a different director.

Producers Ant Timpson and Tim League asked contributors to choose a word beginning with their assigned letter of the alphabet and use it to create a story involving death. The resulting shorts, spanning 15 countries and a variety of formats, languages, styles and sub-genres, are an eclectic combination.

Expect to see slices of work from many exciting directors of contemporary genre film – including Sightseers’ Ben Wheatley – and a veritable feast of blood, guts and gore, plus talking parrots and a monster living in a toilet.

The following cinemas are taking part this evening – enter them at your peril…
