It’s that time of year again. Britain’s Got Talent is about to start, Simon Cowell is doing press and therefore the annual rumour mill about his other hot property, -no, not Red or Black? – The X Factor has begun to turn.
Britpop legend and Oasis founder Noel Gallagher is once again in the frame, according to unnamed sources in the tabs this morning. It’s not the first time the 45-year-old has been connected with the panel – indeed, a few years back he was quoted as naming his price at £1m for a series of the show.
Well the Sun has upped the ante, claiming “Simon is determined to get Noel on board” and that Cowell has made a seven-figure offer to Gallagher. In the past Gallagher has admitted that his children are fans of the show and would be keen for him to do it, but has expressed major reservations about joining the talent show machine.
But would you like to see the rocker shake things up on The X Factor, or would a shiny floored entertainment show be too much of a departure from the musician’s anti-establishment image to work in 2013?
