Beyoncé sings Amy Winehouse in a stunning new trailer for The Great Gatsby

Music from Florence Welch, André 3000 and Lana Del Ray also features alongside plenty of new footage of Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan

This morning we were treated to a brand new poster for The Great Gatsby and this afternoon Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming blockbuster has released its latest trailer featuring the seductive vocals of none other than Beyoncé.

The US superstar’s cover of Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black acts as a backdrop to a new preview featuring a host of previously unseen footage, including plenty of scenes between Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby and Carey Mulligan’s Daisy Buchanan.

An imperious Joel Edgerton as Daisy’s husband Tom and Tobey Maguire’s Nick Carraway also feature in the latest montage which focuses on Gatsby’s obsession with recapturing the love of his former sweetheart.

In addition to Beyoncé’s vocals, the new teaser showcases the star-studded Jay Z-produced soundtrack, with further tracks by Florence Welch, André 3000 and Lana Del Ray accompanying Luhrmann’s stunning cinematography. Gatsby fan or not, this trailer really is something special…

The Great Gatsby is released in UK cinemas on 16 May 2013
