A six-second teaser trailer for the new Wolverine film has been released via video sharing app Vine on Twitter.
The innovatively shared super-short promo has been dubbed a ‘tweaser’ by the film’s director James Mangold, who posted the video loop on his personal Twitter account.
Mangold’s snippet of Wolverine footage stars leading man Hugh Jackman, who recently won a Golden Globe for his role as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, in numerous high action situations – as well as what appears to be a glimpse of Famke Janssen reprising her role as Jean Grey.
But if Wolverine’s blink-and-you-miss-it trailer is more frustrating than exciting, you only need wait a few hours – a longer teaser and a full length trailer is expected to be released within the next few days. Marvel fans can appease themselves with two new posters showcasing a pretty angry looking Wolverine, too…
Jackman is returning to the iconic role he first played in the X-Men films. The film, which also stars Will Yun Lee, Tao Okamoto and Hiroyuki Sanada, will see Jackman’s Logan travel to Japan to face his ultimate nemesis.
The Wolverine will be in UK cinemas from 26 July
