Olivia Colman on Broadchurch: “Please don’t ask me who the killer is!”

Colman, who stars alongside David Tennant in ITV crime drama Broadchurch, says she's scared of giving the game away

ITV crime drama Broadchurch, which follows the investigation into the murder of an 11-year-old boy, has become an instant hit with critics and fans alike. But star of the eight-part crime drama Olivia Colman, who plays DS Ellie Miller alongside David Tennant’s DI Alec Hardy, is so scared of giving away clues that she doesn’t even want to talk about it…

Speaking to RadioTimes.com at last night’s Royal Television Society Programme Awards, Colman said: “I’m not saying anthing. I’ve signed so many secret documents and I’m so likely to muck it up. Please don’t ask me!”

She did admit that reactions to the whodunnit drama were pleasing, saying “Everyone’s really liked it.” Before going on to admit that she only looks at reviews if “they’re nice.” “Often I don’t and my husband will say ‘Oh it’s alright, you can have a look at these.’”

Colman picked up an award at the RTS Programme awards last night for her role in Accused. But while she was named best actress, Colman is yet to have a new project lined up. “At the moment I’m auditioning and waiting and failing on all fronts,” revealed the 39-year-old star.

Quick, someone snap her up!
