Strictly Come Dancing finalist Dani Harmer has joined the cast of the 40th anniversary touring stage production of the Rocky Horror Show.
Harmer, who first found fame as the star of the BBC children’s series The Story of Tracy Beaker, will play Janet in the anniversary Rocky Horror Show and star opposite Dancing on Ice’s Sam Attwater, who’ll appear in the production as Brad.
They’ll be joined by stage star Oliver Thornton as lead character Frank and X Factor alumnus Rhydian as Rocky. The production will be narrated by Heartbeat’s Philip Franks.
Since first opening at the Royal Court Theatre in 1973 and enthusing audiences with songs like ‘Dammit Janet’ and ‘Time Warp’, Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show has become one of the world’s favourite rock ‘n roll musicals.
The production was turned into a film starring Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon, the Rocky Horror Picture Show, in 1975, and over the years the likes of Russell Crowe, Jerry Springer and Meatloaf have appeared in various Rocky Horror productions.
