Radio Times is kicking off its Doctor Who 50th anniversary celebrations in style this week by giving away eight exclusive collectable postcards featuring some of the Time Lord’s most iconic appearances on the cover of the magazine.
Free with the new issue of Radio Times, the images range from an early appearance by the Cybermen to an iconic shot of Second Doctor Patrick Troughton; a comic-book style clash between the Daleks and Jon Pertwee’s Third Doctor, to a historic five Doctors cover – plus encounters with the Time Lord’s latest incarnations David Tennant and Matt Smith.
There are two sets of cards to collect, each featuring four different designs – get your hands on the whole lot from Tuesday 12 February, when the magazine materialises in newsagents.
Inside, you’ll find a guide to Doctor Who’s unfolding 50th anniversary celebrations, including news of the drama that’s set to bring together multiple former Doctors, and a look at the stunning Royal Mail stamps that would put the perfect finishing touch to your free postcards. There’s also an exlcusive first shot of David Bradley as First Doctor William Hartnell in Mark Gatiss’s An Adventure in Space and Time (and what’s that he’s reading…?)
The new issue of Radio Times (covering the week 16-22 February) is on sale from Tuesday 12 February, priced £1.60. Now here’s a closer look at those fantastic free postcards…
