Just what is cunning Kirsty (Kierston Wareing) up to now? After scuppering Max (Jake Wood) and Tanya’s (Jo Joyner) wedding on Christmas Day, she’s now sidling up to troubled stepdaughter Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa).
In scenes to be shown on Thursday 17 January, Kirsty befriends Lauren after the wayward teen downs a few too many vodka and cokes at the Vic. Taking Lauren back to her room at Kim’s B&B, the pair are soon having a heart to heart about life and love.
“I was only trying to help,” Kirsty later tells Max when he’s summoned to collect his daughter. But does she have another reason for lending a hand?
The fact that she hands a key to the room to Lauren would suggest so. “You know where I am if you ever need to get away,” Kirsty says in hushed tones. “The door’s always open.”
However, when Lauren drops the key after she returns home, Max is quick to pocket it. Yet when Tanya discovers the key during Friday’s episode, it looks likely that she’ll jump to the wrong conclusion. Could this development lead to further ructions at No 5 Albert Square?
