Emmerdale: Alex Moss is killed by Cameron Murray

Actor Kurtis Stacey leaves after 20 months on the ITV1 soap

Alex Moss has become Cameron Murray’s latest murder victim in chilling scenes just broadcast during tonight’s episode of Emmerdale.

Farmhand Alex (Kurtis Stacey) was seen making an escape attempt after being kept captive, only for kidnapper Cameron (Dominic Power) to hunt him down and drag his body back to the van where he’d been held.

As Silent Night played hauntingly on the soundtrack, a desperate Cameron loomed over Alex and said: “It didn’t have to be like this. Why did you have to run?”

Viewers then saw Cameron draw down the shutter of his van so he could deal the man he’d only recently taken into his confidence.

Last week, fans saw an anxious Cameron confess to Alex that he’d been the one to murder Carl King (Tom Lister) back in October, despite Chas (Lucy Pargeter) having been tried susequently for the crime.

But he was seen later to have regretted his outburst and, despite Alex’s assurances that he “didn’t want any trouble”, Cameron felt that his friend wouldn’t be able to stay silent on the matter.

Actor Kurtis Stacey made his first on-screen appearance in April 2011 when Alex came to work at Butler’s Farm. Before his exit, Alex was recently seen sharing a kiss with Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) following ructions in his relationship with Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins).
