Emmerdale: Cameron takes Alex captive

The farmhand was left bound and gagged at the end of tonight's episode

Farmhand Alex Moss (Kurtis Stacey) paid a high price for being a confidante tonight when Cameron Murray (Dominic Power) hit him around the head before holding him captive in his van.

Cameron – who killed Carl King (Tom Lister) back in October – confessed his crime to an unsuspecting Alex in the second of Thursday’s episodes, but fears that his friend would go to the police led him to take desperate action in this evening’s instalment.

Cameron’s attempts to coerce Alex to keep his silence meant that he was unable to attend that day’s proceedings in court where Chas (Lucy Pargeter) received a not guilty verdict and walked free (find out more here). Although Cameron and Chas were later reunited, he was met with a frosty reception and admonished for not being there to support her.

Little did Chas know, however, that Cameron had been spending his time in pursuit of Alex, who was shown – in tonight’s closing minutes – to be bound, gagged and unable to escape.

Actor Dominic Power revealed recently that Cameron would kill another villager over Christmas, but will Alex be the one to meet an untimely end? Find out in next week’s episodes.
