Radio Times Christmas cover revealed

Twitter and Facebook users help to uncover the stars of this year's legendary double issue

Christmas has arrived. The cover of this year’s Radio Times festive double issue has been unveiled – to show Raymond Briggs creations the Snowman and the Snowdog.

Twitter and Facebook users helped reveal the cover this week by sharing an online advent calendar. The more they tweeted and liked the page, the faster the windows on the calendar opened and the more of the image became visible.

The Snowman and the Snowdog is the follow-up to Raymond Briggs’s much-loved classic The Snowman. An animated version will air on Channel 4 on Christmas Eve and Radio Times is offering readers the chance to pick up a free children’s activity book with the Christmas issue.

This year, the magazine boasts a mammoth 280 pages to guide readers through TV, film and radio across the Christmas period and into the New Year.

The Radio Times Christmas double issue is on sale in London from 8 December and nationwide by Wednesday 12 December, with listings covering 22 December-4 January, priced £2.80.
