Being Human series five – first scenes revealed

The new trio of supernatural housemates, Hal, Tom and Alex, are seen in action in a trailer for BBC3's 2013 offering

The first glimpses of the upcoming new fifth series of supernatural drama Being Human have been revealed in a trailer for BBC3’s 2013 programming.

“We’re at war,” warns vampire Hal (Damien Molony), in one of a number of blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments, while another scene shows him, stake in hand, approaching a bloodstained door alongside  friends Tom the werewolf (Michael Socha) and Alex the ghost (Kate Bracken).

Series five will be the first to feature none of the original cast members, with Hal and Tom now living with new ghost Alex after the dramatic departures of their former housemates Annie the ghost (Lenora Crichlow) and George the werewolf (Russell Tovey) last season, and original vampire Mitchell (Aidan Turner) at the end of series three.

The BBC3 trailer features clips from the channel’s roster of new commissions, which also includes assisted suicide sitcom Way to Go, observational documentary Don’t Call Me Common and reality format The Year of Making Love.
