Brad Pitt takes on an outbreak of zombies in the new trailer for his latest film World War Z. The Oscar-nominated actor plays Gerry Lane in the apocalyptic movie – a United Nations worker who is tasked with saving the worldwide population following a zombie pandemic.
Co-starring The Killing USA’s Mireille Enos and Lost’s Matthew Fox, the film is an adaptation of Max Brooks’ 2006 novel World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War.
In the trailer, Pitt can be seen playing the family man in a traffic jam with his wife and two daughters before a deadly infestation of the undead causes global panic – cue dramatic music, action scenes and scores of the crazed, infected masses.
Of course, Pitt soon steps into the fold to save the day, uttering the heartfelt words “I will be back” to his loved ones. But with a UK release not scheduled until 21 June 2013, we’ll have to wait a good long while to find out if he will…
