A new US series is offering a record prize for definitive proof that Bigfoot exists, RadioTimes.com can reveal. The $10 million reward, the largest in TV history, is the prize in a reality show in which teams of ambitious explorers aim to unearth evidence of the legendary creature.
US network Spike TV has already begun casting contestants for the imaginatively titled 10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty, which will follow scientists, zoologists, trackers and Bigfoot hunters who all believe in the giant apeman’s existence.
In the unlikely event that any of the teams actually does find irrefutable proof, they’ll be able to claim the record-breaking bounty, which has been underwritten by Lloyds of London.
Bigfoot is the name given to an ape-like beast that some believe roams the forests of North America’s Pacific Northwest. Also known as Sasquatch, the bipedal creature has been the subject of folklore, hoaxes and scores of reported sightings, though the scientific community largely discounts the possibility of its existence.
