A treat for Dickens fans, the film features British film stars Jeremy Irvine, Ralph Fiennes and Helena Bonham Carter.

With a dark and moody atmosphere and a lingering focus on Pip and Estella’s ill-fated love affair, this new trailer is a glimpse of the direction the new adaptation has taken. Plus a chance to see the brilliant Helena Bonham Carter take up the role of eccentric, jilted bride Miss Havisham.

When discussing the much-anticipated new film, Newell has said: “I’ve tried to make a film for a young modern audience in which Pip and Estella’s fated love affair is shown through feelings and stresses that are of today and in a city that was, then, full of brawling energy, was unimaginably wealthy and very bad…”
