A Japanese comedy film about two boys who pressure their mother into buying a television kit but after she refuses, they decide on a silence strike against all adults.

Air Force – 2:55pm, Film4

This 1943 war film looks at the Japanese attack on Pearl Habour and the nine US B-17 bombers who land in Hawaii just as the enemy launches their attack.

American Pie 2 – 9:00pm, ITV2

This sequel picks up the story of five friends who reunite during their first summer after college graduation. The comedy focuses on their attempt to have the greatest summer party ever at a beach house in Michigan.

Raw Deal – 10:00pm, ITV4

After being kicked out of the FBI, Matt Kaminsky (Arnold Schwarzenegger) decides to become sheriff of a town in North Carolina. High-ranking FBI agent (Darren McGavin) wants to get revenge against the Mafia and re-hires Kaminsky to destroy the organization.

American Beauty – 10:00pm, Sky Movies Modern Greats

Oscar-winning drama about Lester Burnham (Kevin Spacey) – a depressed father going through a mid-life crisis who begins to fantasise about one of his teenage daughter’s friends, Angela (Mena Suvari).

All the President’s Men – 11:05pm, TCM
