Men in Black – 6.55pm, Film4


Gear up for the third Men in Black film (in cinemas Friday), by revisiting Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones’s first outing as the alien-hunting duo tasked with saving the world from destruction.

Pirates of the Caribbean: the Curse of the Black Pearl – 7.50pm, BBC3

Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and blacksmith Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) set off in pursuit of Will’s love Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), who has been kidnapped by pirates aboard cursed ship The Black Pearl.

Vanity Fair – 8.00pm, ITV3

Take a trip back in time with Reese Witherspoon, who plays Becky Sharp in this adaptation of the classic novel by William Makepeace Thackeray. Although she starts the film as a lowly commoner, she sets her sights high. 

Blazing Saddles – 9.00pm, ITV4

Saddle up for a good laugh with Mel Brooks’s classic spoof western. Cleavon Little stars as the first black sheriff of a wild west town with Gene Wilder playing the Waco Kid, the drunken gunman who helps him out. 

Silent Hill – 9.45pm, E4

In this horror thriller, Rose (Radha Mitchell) is disturbed by the behaviour of her adopted daughter and drives to the abandoned town Silent Hill mentioned in her nightmares.

Surrogates – 10.45pm, BBC1
