The Voice 2012: Tom Jones and Jessie J to perform live duet on Radio 2

The talent show coaches will sing as part of the station’s 2Day, which showcases a new mix of content and presenters

Voice coaches Tom Jones and Jessie J will duet together as part of Radio 2’s 2DAY line-up on Thursday 10 May.

The Welsh singing legend and the pop diva will perform live from The 100 Club music venue in central London during the Chris Evans show, which will move to a 6-7pm slot for the day. The programme will also be available to watch on the BBC’s Red Button service.

Helen Thomas, 2DAY executive producer, said: “Tom Jones and Jessie J are a fantastic addition to 2DAY. We have some amazing live music and entertainment throughout the day and listeners are in for a real treat.”

Other additions to the 2DAY line-up include Blur frontman and musical innovator Damon Albarn and 2011 Brit Awards nominee Paloma Faith – who herself featured on The Voice this weekend, helping Danny O’Donoghue coach his team members for the Battles rounds.

2DAY sees Radio 2 throw out its usual schedule for the day, to showcase a variety of content and a new mix of presenters in different time slots.
