The Duchess of Cornwall meets Sofie Grabol – and gets her own Killing jumper

"I'm an addict," Camilla admits as she visits the set of the Danish crime drama

The Duchess of Cornwall has revealed that she is a fan of Danish crime drama The Killing.

“I’m an addict. I’m so excited by this,” she said on a visit to the set, where she was greeted by star Sofie Grabol and presented with her very own Sarah Lund sweater.

“Royalty is not the kind of audience you would expect,” series creator Soren Sveistrup commented. “Prince Charles told me that it was Camilla who introduced him to The Killing. He said it was one of the only things they could agree on seeing together.”

Accompanied by Denmark’s Crown Princess Mary, Camilla was able to watch the shooting of scenes from the third series on a monitor. At one point, she even wielded Grabol’s pistol, pointed it at members of the press and declared: “It was me all along.”

The actress then revealed: “It’s just a toy gun. It weighs nothing.”

The Duchess of Cornwall specifically requested the trip to The Killing’s set just outside Copenhagen on the final day of engagements as part of her eight-day Scandinavian tour with the Prince of Wales.
