Good news for any antsy Sherlock fans who just can’t wait for more of the Baker Street detective – the BBC has released a clip of the second episode to whet your appetite.

Written by Mark Gatiss, The Hounds of Baskerville is a modern-day reimagining of the 1902 Conan Doyle novel and features a guest appearance from a shell-shocked Russell Tovey.

The new clip sees Sherlock at his most sceptical while interrogating a man about rumours of a giant dog haunting Dartmoor, before being confronted with evidence of the beast’s existence…

And for anyone wanting a glimpse of Tovey, he can be seen in this BBC1 teaser telling Sherlock about “the footprints of a gigantic hound”:

Sherlock continues on BBC1 and BBC1 HD this Sunday at 8:30pm.
