Fans of BBC Radio 4’s Bleak Expectations will be pleased to hear that Mark Evans’s spoof Dickensian comedy is making the transition to TV this Christmas. The Bleak Old Shop of Stuff is penned by Evans, but features an entirely new set of characters, played by a cast that reads like a who’s who of British comedy.

We visited the set of the show, where Robert Webb and David Mitchell, along with Evans himself (who also stars), introduced us to the wilfully silly world of one Jedrington Secret-Past…

The first episode of The Bleak Old Shop of Stuff airs on Monday 19 December at 8:30pm on BBC2 and BBC HD
