Here they are, folks – the covers of this year’s Radio Times legendary Christmas issue.
This year’s cover is a flowing festive illustration, produced in red and green by artist Kate Forrester, who is known for her hand-drawn typography and whose other commissions include John Lewis, Tiffany NYC and Penguin Books.
Radio Times editor Ben Preston said: “This is a charming cover with a contemporary twist: nostalgic and beautiful to lift the spirits in troubled times, yet graphic, eye-catching and full of marvellous details to reward the reader right through Christmas.
“Kate’s Christmas cover features the traditional symbols of the season: robins, angels, church bells, Christmas pudding and merry-making – although if you look hard there’s a little Santa hidden away,” he added.
You’ll start to see the Christmas RT materialise in all good newsagents, supermarkets and anywhere else that carries magazines by Wednesday 7 December priced £2.50.
The bumper issue is crammed full of stuff to keep you entertained and informed right through the holiday season. We’ve got two weeks’ worth of TV and radio listings, over 4,000 films rated, plus articles and interviews from some of the biggest names in entertainment.
There’s also a free Gruffalo book worth £3.99 for every reader, which can be collected from Mothercare or the Early Learning Centre.
So get ready to be amazed once this festive favourite lands on your doormat or in your trolley. Highlighters at the ready, people! Christmas starts here…
