Only Connect host and poker whizz Victoria Coren will be joined by a galaxy of stars when the eighth series of Heresy debuts on BBC Radio 4.
The weekly programme, in which a panel of broadcasters pick apart everyday assumptions, will be bolstered by the presence of Peep Show star David Mitchell, Supersizer Sue Perkins, Googlewhacker Dave Gorman, actress Maureen Lipman, Private Eye medical correspondent Dr Phil Hammond and the moustachioed comedian Rufus Hound for its upcoming run.
Heresy’s creator and original host, David Baddiel, who last fronted the programme in its fourth season, is also set to appear as a guest.
And if that wasn’t enough, there will also be a political presence in the series when it returns on 30 November, in the form of Labour MP Diane Abbott.
After debuting on Radio 4 in 2003, Heresy has been renewed annually and has previously featured contributions from such broadcasting luminaries as Jonathan Ross, Jimmy Carr and Ruby Wax.
