He might have avoided spilling any beans to Auric Goldfinger but James Bond has let slip some new intelligence on Twitter, revealing that two names have been added to the cast of his latest film, Skyfall: Helen McCrory and Swedish actor Ola Rapace.
The announcement was made last night, a day after a picture of the Skyfall clapperboard appeared online, which confirmed that the new film had begun shooting.
While as yet there’s no word on the roles Rapace and McCrory will play, the actors are slated to appear alongside Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem, Naomie Harris, Dame Judi Dench and Berenice Marlohe in Skyfall.
McCrory is perhaps best known for her portrayals of Cherie Blair in films The Queen and The Special Relationship. She also appeared as Narcissa Malfoy in sevral Harry Potter films and played Rosanna in the 2010 Doctor Who episode, The Vampires of Venice. Rapace will be familiar to BBC4 viewers, having played Stefan Lindman in the Swedish Wallander.
Skyfall is expected to hit British cinemas on 26 October next year.
