Gary Barlow has called in a few favours and arranged for Lady Gaga to head an impressive line-up at the Children in Need Rocks Manchester concert.
Along with Mama Monster, the major musical talent currently signed up to the charity gig includes Michael Bublé, Coldplay, Elbow, JLS, Hugh Laurie, James Morrison, N-Dubz, Snow Patrol and Ed Sheeran, with more to follow.
Take That star and X Factor judge Barlow said: “I’m so thrilled that these incredible artists are giving their time for such a special charity that is very close to my heart.
“I can’t wait to see it all come together on 17 November. There are still some great acts we’re keeping up our sleeve to announce in the coming weeks and who knows, I might even sing a little something on the night, too.”
Fearne Cotton, Chris Moyles and David Tennant will host the event, which will be interspersed with surprise guests, unique collaborations and appeal films showing the work Children in Need does to help disadvantaged youngsters in Britain.
BBC Children in Need CEO David Ramsden said: “With Gary’s incredible support we are going to be able to change thousands of young lives right here in the UK.
“He has put together an amazing line-up for an unforgettable evening which will raise lots of money for disadvantaged children who desperately need our help.”
The week of the concert will see thousands of Children in Need fundraising events taking place up and down the country.
Tickets for Children in Need Rocks Manchester go on sale at 9am on Friday 16 September, priced between £55 and £95. Visit bbc.co.uk/pudsey for full details.
