Watch Torchwood’s John Barrowman and Eve Myles as they step back into costume exclusively for the Radio Times cover shoot and tell you all about the new series.
While most of Torchwood: Miracle Day was shot on location in America, today the cast made a special return to where it all began for them: the famous Upper Boat studios in Cardiff where Torchwood was originally filmed.
It’s still the home of Doctor Who but for this one day the huge studio was entirely emptied for Radio Times. It’s a rare chance to see how the studio appears to the cast during filming, with its blue flooring and green walls that are normally digitally replaced by special effects.
OK, we said rare. We didn’t say that bit was exciting.
Much more striking is just how careful the shoot had to be about that other type of shooting: the Torchwood guns not only look real, they are real and so have to be handled carefully. Someone should probably tell that to Gwen.
