It’s the first day proper at Britain’s biggest music festival and you don’t have to get plastered in mud to enjoy it (although what you do in the privacy of your own living room is, of course, your own business).
There’s TV coverage galore. U2 make their belated Glasto debut (after Bono’s crocked back kept them away last year), headlining the Pyramid Stage. Blues legend BB King, reggae veteran Jimmy Cliff and former Smiths frontman Morrissey are also among an eclectic mix of performers.
See below for a timed guide to who’s playing on which channel – and don’t forget, viewers with Freeview, satellite or cable can watch extra performances from the four main stages via the BBC’s Red Button service.
For radio listeners, 6 Music’s coverage kicks off at 10am with Adam & Joe, carrying on right through until 5pm with Steve Lamacq followed by Lauren Laverne, and returning at 8pm with Sean Keaveny and Cerys Matthews. Radio 2 steps in for an hour at 10pm, and at 11pm there’s the chance for a quick power nap before 6 Music gets back on the case from midnight.
